About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to join our team at Electus Recruitment Solutions.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and specifying mechanical services, with a focus on promoting design excellence. They will prepare outline briefs, performance specifications, attend design reviews, approve technical drawings, review and approve derogations from employers' requirements, and carry out value engineering reviews of external consultant's designs.


Additionally, the candidate will have experience of delivering sustainable solutions that contribute to the Net Zero road map and lead on decarbonisation strategies.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Qualified Design Engineer with Chartered/MCIBSE status or working towards it. You must have proven experience in mechanical engineering design within the building services industry.


You will also need to have the ability to write technical reports, create outline briefs, scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and lifecycle works packages, and experience working with digital engineering tools such as CAD/Revit.


Experience with new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects is also essential.


You must currently hold the specific Government Security Clearance or be eligible for Government Security Clearance.
