We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Retail Shop Manager to join our team at St Clare Hospice. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement effective merchandising and display strategies to maximize sales and profit.
- Manage the shop's inventory, including ordering and receiving stock, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure the shop is secure, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, donors, and other stakeholders to support the shop's operations.
- Monitor and control costs, including stock levels, waste, and energy consumption.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, volunteers, and customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience of working in a retail environment, with knowledge of merchandising, display, and sales techniques.
