Lead the Thriving Communities Directorate

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive the development, coordination, and delivery of the Thriving Communities Directorate. This high-profile role will provide an opportunity to work closely with the Directorate Management Team and the Extended Directorate Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisation and planning skills, an understanding of governance and democratic processes, and experience of change management. They will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and delivery of strategic initiatives, managing the directorate business and corporate governance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Strategic Excellence: Lead the planning, development, and delivery of strategic initiatives, managing the directorate business and corporate governance systems.
  • Facilitate Effective Collaboration: Accountable for ensuring effective collaboration by facilitating key directorate business meetings through proactive scheduling, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure Compliance and Impact: Ensure the directorate's compliance with corporate strategic planning, governance processes, and reporting deadlines.
  • Enhance Business Processes: Develop and refine Directorate's business processes, ensuring they align with customer and corporate needs.
  • Lead Innovation: Take the reins on projects and research initiatives, spearheading recommendations for best practices within the Directorate.
