Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Bekaert. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing robust functional Safety, Health & Environmental leadership and supporting the achievement of site SH&E KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with management to promote and implement SH&E targets and improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a robust and effective continuous improvement strategy for SHE.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative operating standards and policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH Qualification.
  • Ability to delegate and deal with situations confidently.
  • Understanding of confidentiality issues and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
