Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Residential Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team at SGS Care Ltd. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional care for young people with complex needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development in residential settings.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and adolescents. As a Senior Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to your colleagues, creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth, trust, and respect.

In this role, you will take charge of the daily care and activities of the young people in your care, developing personalized plans to address their unique needs and goals. Your expertise will also be invaluable in supporting staff training and development, ensuring our team has the skills and confidence to deliver outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care for young people, including daily living skills, emotional support, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Lead and manage a team of childcare practitioners, promoting collaboration, open communication, and a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the complex needs of our residents.
  • Pursue opportunities for career advancement and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services through innovation and best practices.
Requirements

To succeed in this rewarding role, you must possess:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience working with vulnerable young adults or children who have suffered trauma.
  • A valid full UK driving licence.
