This is an exciting opportunity to join Bakkavor as a Section Leader, responsible for managing and organizing all activities within the Packing section of the factory.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assigning and organizing staff, managing productivity and performance, and ensuring the achievement of required service levels and performance results.
You will also be responsible for walking the floor of the production area, managing start-up procedures, and ensuring there is no excess or shortage of labour in the production areas.
Additionally, you will be responsible for completing Return to Work interviews, attending daily review meetings and team briefings, and constructingively challenging the performance of the area.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and organize all activities within the Packing section of the factory
Assign and organize staff, manage productivity and performance, and ensure the achievement of required service levels and performance results
Walk the floor of the production area, manage start-up procedures, and ensure there is no excess or shortage of labour in the production areas
Complete Return to Work interviews, attend daily review meetings and team briefings, and constructively challenge the performance of the area
Requirements:
Experience in a production or section management role within the food manufacturing industry
Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement
A solid understanding of retailer expectations and how we meet them
