About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Technician Leader to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with specialist lines insurance placement and building strong relationships with insurers.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing placement processes for Marsh clients requiring specialist contingency coverages, including drafting contingency wordings for large promoters and event organizers. They will also act as the reference point for back-office expertise to client servicing teams and insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with client-facing colleagues across the global network to deliver placements for new business and renewals.
  • Draft contingency wordings for clients and provide final deal-making submissions on PPL.
  • Act as the go-to colleague contact on back-office questions and maintain a level of service where responds take no longer than 24hrs.
  • Provide regular updates to the Client Service teams on progress of wordings, client onboarding, invoicing and paying markets.
  • Utilize the online trading systems such as PPL Next Gen.
  • Act as a referral point for the resolution of insurer queries.
  • Attend client and insurer meetings in partnership with the client service team.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed and can be demonstrated at all times including using our client filing portal Fusion.
Requirements
  • Proven broking tech/account handling or underwriting tech in Lloyds is essential. Minimum 4 years.
  • Awareness of Clients' business, their business issues, insurance programmes and service plans.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent insurer trading & details policy documentation skills.
  • Proven relationship management experience with a strong insurer/broker network of contacts.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
  • A strong attitude for working within a team environment is essential.
