We are seeking an exceptional Senior Delivery Manager to join our Data Provisioning team. As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for enabling teams within Data Provisioning to make Met Office data available through secure online services.

Your key duties include:

  • Coaching and mentoring team members and others to apply agile and lean tools and techniques.
  • Building and maintaining software delivery teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well.
  • Identifying obstacles and helping the team to overcome them.
  • Encouraging and facilitating continuous improvement of the delivery team.

The salary for this position is approximately £77,318 per annum, which includes:

  • A base pay of £52,799.
  • An outstanding Civil Service pension, with an average employer contribution of 27%.
  • Recruitment Retention Allowance (RRA) of £3,800 per annum as a market supplement.
  • Annual Leave starting at 27.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 32.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) after 5 years.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Experience with Agile and Lean practices, including coaching and leading teams.
  2. The ability to maintain delivery momentum and optimise the delivery flow of teams.
  3. Strong planning skills, including leading a continual planning process in a complex environment.

We require Security clearance, for which you need to have resided in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years to be eligible. You will need to achieve full security clearance within your first 6 months with us.
