**Job Title:** Academy Lead Sports Therapist - Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Therapist to join our Academy team as a Lead Sports Therapist - Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining injury prevention and rehabilitation programs for our Academy players.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Injury Prevention Programs: Design and implement evidence-based injury prevention programs for Academy players, focusing on addressing relevant injury risk factors.
  • Provide Medical Support: Provide medical support to Academy players during training sessions and matches, including conducting musculoskeletal screenings and providing individualized injury prevention programs.
  • Collaborate with Sport Science Department: Work closely with the Sport Science Department to develop and implement effective injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Lead on Match Day Cover: Lead on match day cover for games, ensuring that there is appropriate medical cover at all fixtures and that competition standards are met.
  • Ensure Medical Equipment and Procedures: Ensure that medical equipment is maintained and that emergency procedures are regularly reviewed.
  • Continual Professional Development: Take responsibility for their own continued professional development, ensuring that they keep up to date with current practices and strive to advance working practices within the Medical Department.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Sports Therapy Degree / BASRaT or equivalent
  • Experience: Proven experience in sports therapy, with a focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with players, coaches, and other staff members
