Locum Consultant in Endocrinology/GIM Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Locum Consultant in Endocrinology/GIM at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with endocrine and GIM conditions. They will also be responsible for leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals, developing and implementing clinical services, and contributing to the development of the trust's clinical strategy.
Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have a strong background in endocrinology and GIM, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care. They will also have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will hold a relevant medical qualification, such as MRCP or equivalent, and will have completed a specialist training program in endocrinology and GIM. They will also have a strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement principles.
Essential Criteria- MRCP or equivalent
- CST in Endocrinology & GIM or be within 6 months from date of interview MRCP or equivalent
- Post graduate qualification, e.g. MD, PhD or FRCPath
- Appropriate experience and clinical expertise
- IT skills
- Evidence of clinical leadership in the development of clinical services
- Evidence of engagement with audit/quality improvement project
- Significant quality improvement project/publication
- Experience and interest in undergraduate teaching and postgraduate teaching.
- Formal teaching qualification
- Ability to work well in a team with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
