We are seeking a highly skilled Crime Support Specialist to join our team in North Yorkshire. As an Independent Victim Advisor, you will work directly with adults and children who have been impacted by crime, assessing support needs and providing immediate and ongoing support and advocacy.

About the Role:

  • Provide information to victims about their rights as outlined in the Victim's Code of Practice
  • Explain processes and act as a single point of contact throughout the victim's journey in the criminal justice system
  • Develop relationships with other organisations who support victims of crime

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with a focus on customer service and care
  • Have an understanding of crime and the impact it has on individuals and communities
  • Be a self-starter with good organisational and time management skills

Victim Support is an independent charity providing a range of specialist services to people who have been affected by crime across England and Wales. We work towards a world where there are fewer victims but who have stronger rights, better support and a real influence in the Criminal Justice System.
