Logistics Planner

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Planner to join our team at Widnes. As a key member of our Transport Planning team, you will be responsible for reviewing systematic plans created in TMS and pre-planning volume where appropriate.

The successful candidate will have good transport experience or a desire to learn the transport industry. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills are essential for this role. You will also need to be self-motivated and willing to learn, with high standards in all that you do.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, plus a benefits package. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (35hrs a week) with no weekend or bank-holiday work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing systematic plans created in TMS
• Pre-planning volume where appropriate
• Closely controlling and monitoring costs and adhering to cost budgets
• Managing invoices in query, validating costs and approving or declining differences
• SUPPORTING AND HELPING TO IMPLEMENT SYSTEMATIC IMPROVEMENTS TO IMPROVE FURTHER THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TRANSPORT PLANNING
• Arranging haulage and managing assigned haulers relevant to the operational sites
• Actively supporting and playing a key role in adopting TMS system across the UK in the most cost efficient and logical manner
