Are you a culinary expert looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for leading a team and delivering exceptional food service? We are currently recruiting a Head Chef to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington.

As a Head Chef with Aramark, you will be responsible for managing a small team of chefs and FOH staff, ensuring a smooth operation daily. You will also be responsible for preparing and serving food to the highest standard, menu planning and stock control, and completing all shift opening and closing checklists and due diligence.

What you'll be doing:

\u2022 Preparing and serving food to the highest standard
\u2022 Management of a small team of chefs and FOH staff; manage staff rotas
\u2022 Organising and supporting your team to ensure a smooth operation daily
\u2022 Producing food in line with the recipe sheets; full knowledge of all menu items served
\u2022 Menu planning and stock control
\u2022 Preparing and cooking meals for students
\u2022 Management of production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage
\u2022 Placing orders and keeping records of any stock wastage
\u2022 Completing all shift opening and closing checklists and due diligence
\u2022 Act as trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
\u2022 Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
\u2022 Undertake relevant training as required

Experience:

\u2022 Previous experience in a similar role required
\u2022 A confident leader
\u2022 Strong culinary skills in cooking off concept menus
\u2022 Enhanced DBS required
