Job Description

As a Senior Underwriting Analyst with Munich Re Specialty Group, you will be an integral part of the Underwriting Operations team. Your primary focus will be on overseeing monitoring, reporting, processing controls and operations applicable to the business underwritten in the London Market and International Distribution Companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain regular internal and external reports, including analysis and production of reports and development of reporting tools using state-of-the-art technologies such as Power BI.
  • Prepare and review standard and ad-hoc reports and KPIs for internal monitoring, underwriting controls, data quality and management level review.
  • Coordinate regulatory returns such as ATIA, GAREAT and PMDr.
  • Take ownership of recording Employer's Liability policies on Syndicate systems and subsequent regulatory reporting to the Employers' Liability Tracing Office (ELTO).
  • Create insights from portfolio reports to facilitate data-enabled decision making in Underwriting, Operations and the wider business.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of insurance principles and Lloyd's environment, including Lloyd's Principles and managing agent workings.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, plan resources and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with implementing, maintaining and developing state-of-the-art reporting technologies like Power BI, data analytics capabilities and reporting process automation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentation.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
