Job Title: Child Mental Health Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Cambian West. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing occupational therapy services to children with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children aged 12-18 years old with ongoing mental health needs, neurodevelopmental needs, and challenging behaviors.
- To work closely with the psychiatry team, psychologists, therapists, educators, practice nurses, therapeutic practitioners, and residential care workers to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- To develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
- BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Registered with RCOT
- Experience in working in Mental Health, using trauma-informed approaches
- Demonstrated interest in service development
- Licence and access to own transport
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Frequent clinical supervision and peer supervision from experienced OTs
- Preceptorship support and opportunities for professional growth and development
- A supportive multidisciplinary team environment
