Job Title: Personal Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and patient Support Assistant to join our team at Ideal for All. As a Personal Assistant, you will provide support to a young man with severe mental and physical disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, social activities, and other responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Accompany the individual to social activities and outings
  • Manage medication administration, including enteral feeding through PEG
  • Operate medical equipment, such as suction machines and nebulisers
  • Use a hoist to transfer the individual

Requirements:

  • Reliable, friendly, and patient individual with a flexible approach to work
  • Ability to manage manual handling and lift the individual as required
  • Valid car driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience in care work, particularly with individuals with disabilities
  • Up to Level 3 NVQ in a relevant field

Working Hours:

Hours per week, including daytime and evening shifts during weekdays and weekends. Days and times to be negotiated.
