Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Environment Artist to join our team at Wargaming, creators of World of Tanks and other leading free-to-play titles. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced artist to contribute to the creation of a new game world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality 3D environments that meet our artistic vision
  • Translate concept artwork into 3D game assets, maintaining a high level of detail and realism
  • Collaborate with the Lead Environment Artist and Art Director to design and implement pipeline procedures
  • Prototype new techniques and processes to improve workflow and quality
  • Develop high-poly and low-poly models and texture sets using advanced shaders
  • Support off-site development partners and ensure seamless communication
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of production art experience in the gaming industry
  • Proven ability to create exceptional stylised and realistic worlds
  • Outstanding skill in digital sculpting packages such as Z-Brush
  • Exceptional knowledge of Maya and Unreal 4
  • High level expertise in Substance Painter
  • A great eye for detail and natural flair for composition and colour theory
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to take critique and give feedback internally and externally
  • Diligent self-management around individual and team tasks, schedule, and budgets
  • Strong organisational skills with adherence to optimisation and asset management
