Audit and Accounts Semi Senior Accountant Job

We are seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Semi Senior Accountant to join our team in Leicester. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing statutory and financial statements, supporting the senior team with audit preparation, and providing tax returns and assessments for various organisational structures.

About the Role
  • Preparation of statutory and financial statements
  • Supporting the senior team with audit preparation
  • Preparation of tax returns and assessments for various organisational structures
  • Assist with VAT returns
  • Rental accounts
  • Bookkeeping
  • Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Liaise with HMRC on client matters
  • Liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice
  • Work closely with senior team members
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements
  • AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified or studying
  • Some experience of audit
  • Good basic knowledge across accountancy services and some experience of working in UK practice
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Personable and friendly
