Welder Fabricator

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team at Search. As a key member of our industrial team, you will be responsible for maintaining the processes and procedures in place for the sustainability and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up, lay out, manufacture, and install various steelwork and metalwork
* Tack up structures to tight tolerances
* Weld out precision frames to exact tolerances, carry out final inspection of works, and hold final required cosmetic finish with angle grinders and sanders
* Move parts and heavy frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility in a safe and responsible manner
* Read complicated prints/drawings and "spec. weld symbols"
* Comply with the company management system requirements for quality and health and safety
* Take reasonable care of own and others' safety, co-operate with manager/supervisor in complying with statutory health & safety duties, to report incidents, accidents, faults, etc.
Requirements:
* Proven background in fabrication and welding, preferably having served a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Possess knowledge of, and ability to identify, fabrication industry metals
* Experience in TIG and pulse MIG welding with Stainless Steel is essential
* Architectural metalwork experience in fabrication of balustrades and handrails
* City and Guilds / SVQ qualifications are required
* Coded welders would be advantageous
