About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Member to join our team at Julia's House Dorset/Wiltshire Children's Hospices. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of holistic care (physical, emotional, social, and spiritual) to children and their families, ensuring continuity of care across various settings.
  • Develop and maintain individualized programs of activities tailored to each child's specific needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with families to support them in their chosen manner, promoting flexibility and adaptability in care delivery.
  • Participate in the planning and running of activity sessions, including the development and maintenance of activity packs.
  • Take an active role in professional training and personal development, staying up-to-date with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate records and monitoring of procedures for inspection.
Requirements
  • NVQ 2/3 in Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Safeguarding Awareness Level 1.
  • Community-based experience, such as Sure Start or portage, is desirable.
  • Experience working within a play-setting is also desirable.
  • A full driving license and use of a vehicle for business purposes are essential.
