Job Overview
Award-winning NHS organisation Aneurin Bevan University Health Board seeks a Pre-registration Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This exciting opportunity allows you to develop your career in Primary Care GP practices while contributing to safe and effective medicines management.

This fixed-term role is part of the Primary and Community Care Academy, offering training and development opportunities to help you grow as a professional. You will work closely with an in-house Pharmacist, ensuring your competence and confidence in-line with National Primary Care Pharmacy Technician Framework.

In this role, you will contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of medicines management within practice, undertaking medicines reconciliation, and responding to patients' questions. You will also participate in patient reviews, updating patient records, and provide advice and information to GPs, staff, and patients to support prescribing safety and quality.

You will have the opportunity to supervise and assist in training less experienced pharmacy technicians, foundation trainee pharmacists, students, and prescribing clerks.

The successful candidate will be a registered Pharmacy Technician with relevant post-qualification experience, completion of specialist training, and evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development. They must meet all essential criteria outlined in the attached job description/person specification.

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
