Cygnet is seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at our newly opened service in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the development of our services.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Male Acute ward. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing referrals, undertaking mental state examinations, and developing treatment plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and risk assessments.

Requirements
  • Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients, as well as write clear and comprehensive medical notes
  • Committed to continued professional development
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
