Job Title: CNC Setter-Operator

NET Recruit is partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business to find a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join their team in the Bournemouth area.

This requires a cohesive and proactive support system to supplement their offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and operating CNC machines to support production and meet targets.
  • Escalating machine malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
  • Measuring tooling, loading and unloading, and changing tooling and offsets to align with dimensions.
  • Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and specifications.
  • Following engineering drawings, instructions, and machining processes.
  • Updating TPM charts to track and raise issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Logging daily output targets to highlight issues and suggest solutions for improvement.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Previous experience reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring equipment is required, as well as the ability to interpret documents such as safety instructions and manuals. A certification from a machining program or apprenticeship is beneficial, although not essential. Excellent communication and organization skills are crucial for success in this position, along with a good problem-solving mindset.

What We Offer:

The successful candidate will receive a base salary of up to £35,000, depending on previous experience and relevant knowledge, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous holiday allocation and good pension. A shift allowance of 25% will also be provided.
