About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Backshift Mechanic to join our Ayr Depot team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair vehicles to meet the strict standards set by Stagecoach and DVSA
  • Work on a 5 out of 7 days basis, with overtime potentially available
  • Support the development of our engineering apprentices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our depot

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised apprenticeship in a relevant trade
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience as an apprentice
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work
