About the RoleThis Health and Safety Management Specialist role is responsible for providing expert advice on health and safety matters to support the delivery of our Creag Dhubh substation project in Scotland. The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a H&S Advisor on infrastructure projects, thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards, and valid membership of IOSH.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to mitigate risks and promote a positive organisational culture.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the H,S & W management system in line with contractual requirements and ISO 45001.
- Liaise with external bodies where required on H,S & W matters.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deliver internal health and safety management courses. They will also be able to advise on health and safety issues on a day-to-day basis on site and conduct standard accident investigations.
