We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Learning Disabilities and Autism Outreach team at Essex County Council. As a Social Worker in this role, you will be responsible for providing enhanced social care support to adults with complex needs in supported living and residential care across Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Care Act reviews and develop plans that foster independence and progression.
  • Work with family members, advocates, and care providers to ensure person-centred care.
  • Partner with internal and external teams, including health services, legal services, and the Court of Protection.
  • Champion technology-enabled care (TEC) to improve independence.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, with at least 1 year of post-qualifying experience. You will bring a thorough understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and Court of Protection procedures, as well as confidence in person-centred, positive risk-taking approaches.
