Art Teacher Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging art lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, focusing on skill-building and creativity. This will involve introducing students to a range of art styles and techniques, from traditional to contemporary, and fostering an inclusive and safe classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to express themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver curriculum-aligned art lessons that cater to the needs of students at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Develop and implement art programs that promote creativity, skill-building, and self-expression
- Lead and support school art displays, exhibitions, and extracurricular art projects
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Art teacher with a PGCE in Art or a related field. They will have a passion for arts education and the ability to engage students in meaningful and enjoyable artistic exploration. Experience in organising art clubs or community projects is a plus.
