About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Public Health Nurse to join our team in Tunbridge Wells District. As a Community Public Health Nurse, you will work with children and families in Paddock Wood, providing support and care to those in need.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to antenatal and postnatal care programs, ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and babies.
  • Complete mandated reviews, packages of care, and safeguarding interventions to protect vulnerable individuals.
  • Undertake a range of clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes for families, promoting healthy lifestyles and behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Health Visiting Service team to deliver the Health Child Programme, adhering to national and local strategies.

Requirements

  • Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body - NMC.
  • Higher education modules in Early Intervention in Public Health, Child Development, and Assessment.
  • Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment.
  • Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date clinical practice.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to self-manage within a team environment.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
