Catering Team Member

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team at Eurest. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the retail store, adhering to company guidelines.
- Organize your work location and prioritize tasks to ensure daily objectives are met in a timely manner.
- Ensure all stock is front-facing, in-date, and properly stored, with accurate documentation and reporting to the line manager.
- Conduct regular stock counts, using the correct process, and report results to the line manager.
- Order, check, and store stock according to company guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure all items on sale have updated SEL labels, dated within the last 4 weeks, and are properly displayed.
- Maintain full stock levels on all displays and adhere to company policies regarding signage and third-party supplier stock.
- Provide polite, professional, and friendly service to customers, clients, and colleagues at all times.
- Ensure the highest level of customer care is maintained, adhering to company standards.
- Develop a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations.
- Maximize sales opportunities through effective selling techniques.
- Process payments and provide change to customers, operating the till efficiently.
- Acquire a good knowledge of all products to advise customers on their choices.
- Actively gather customer feedback and pass information to the line manager.
- Identify opportunities to develop our service and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Seek ways to improve work activities and promote efficiency, adhering to company procedures.
- Prepare, produce, and serve food to brand standards applicable to the site/unit.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to legal and company requirements for fire, safety, health, and hygiene.
- Report health and safety issues to the line manager, including accidents and near misses.
- Promote good safety habits and methods of work.
- Serve customers with hot and cold food and beverages during service times.
- Ensure displays, counters, and seating areas comply with company and statutory health and hygiene requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of hospitality as required.
- Clean work areas during and after use, removing waste to the appropriate area.
- Observe and comply with company and unit procedures relating to cash handling and security, reporting issues to the catering manager.
- Maintain temperature records as required and report any variance.
- Operate machinery safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies.
- Good communication skills to liaise with a wide range of visitors to the work area.
- Ability to comply with legislation and follow rules and regulations in the staff handbook and unit policy statements.
- CRB and security checks, as applicable.
- Customer service-focused and a team player with a can-do attitude.
- Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene.
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
