Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to lead our catering team at Stir. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a consistently high standard of food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company values.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and meet our company standards.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and motivating attitude, and providing guidance and support to the team as needed.
  • Manage and improve controllable costs, including stock, food, and labour costs.
  • Drive sales through monthly promotions and added value events.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure full compliance with company systems and procedures, as well as relevant legislation.
  • Carry out regular audits to ensure that standards are being met.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A natural leader with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service.
  • Previous experience in managing a team, preferably in a culinary environment.
  • Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients.
  • OND or HND qualification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a kitchen.
  • Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets.
