Job Purpose

This role is part of the Commercial Finance team within the National Finance Office. The purpose of this role is to support business leaders in delivering sustainable profitable growth by providing insightful financial analysis and analytical opinion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial insight and challenge to service line leadership and management teams.
  • Develop and manage key relationships with service line leadership and management teams to understand business needs.
  • Translate financial information into analytical opinion by identifying trends and exceptions.
  • Contribute to driving operational performance by promoting commercial thinking and understanding key drivers of the business.
  • Track progress towards budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Assume a lead role in the annual budgeting process.
  • Proactively drive improvement and enhance planning tools.
  • Develop junior staff and champion the firm's culture and strategy.
Personal and Professional Qualities
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accountancy experience.
  • Consultancy/business strategy/professional services experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in evaluation methodology and/or analysis of performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency.
  • Proactive, self-starter, tenacious, and diplomatic.
