About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histopathology Consultant to join our team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a key member of our Histopathology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Histopathology Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert diagnostic services in Histopathology, including the examination and reporting of histopathology specimens.
- Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to plan strategic objectives for the department and Trust.
- Developing and implementing new diagnostic techniques and technologies to improve patient care.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, including trainees and junior consultants.
- Participating in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
