About the Position

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated Physics teacher to join our dynamic team at a reputable secondary school in Staffordshire. The successful candidate will have the chance to deliver high-quality Physics lessons and contribute to the development of a thriving science department.

Key Responsibilities

  • To teach Physics to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
  • To design and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to the varying needs of students.
  • To regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • To foster a love for Physics through engaging practical experiments and innovative teaching methods.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and improve student outcomes.
  • To participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or events, to further promote student interest in Physics.

Requirements and Benefits

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching Physics at secondary school level (ideally Key Stage 3 and 4).
  • Passion for Physics and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and positive approach to classroom management.
  • A DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase a new one.
  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
