About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to join our team at East Lothian Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, construction, and repair of roads, footpaths, and drainage to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair roads, footpaths, and drainage systems to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Assist in the construction of new infrastructure projects, including roadworks and drainage installations.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in highway maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions

  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00-16:30
  • Friday: 08:00-13:00

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
