National Account Development Manager

Job Purpose:
This role is pivotal in strengthening our market position, enhancing customer engagement, and increasing sales growth in a critical area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Share insights and findings with the team to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with the Volkswagen head office team to develop and implement strategic plans for sales.
- Monitor progress against targets and adjust strategies as needed to ensure success.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for BDMs and other stakeholders to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to BDMs, ensuring they have the tools and information needed to succeed.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and technologies to maintain expertise in the field.
- Act as a customer support function, assisting customers with inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Attend customer meetings, centre visits, and industry events to promote products and build relationships.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and customer service to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategy.
- Communicate regularly with the Volkswagen head office team, sharing updates and insights.
Requirements:
- An ability to effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Managing activities to grow and develop business.
- A practical level of business financial awareness to provide valued input, and insight, at an operational level and recognise areas of risk and opportunity.
- Experience of managing national campaigns and activities.
- Possess a high degree of IT literacy.
