Childrens Crisis Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient individual to join our team as a Childrens Crisis Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital care and stability to vulnerable children and young people in emergency placements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and a listening ear to children during times of crisis.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
- Complete detailed, accurate records of incidents, behaviour, and progress.
- Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure the child's needs are met.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and ensure the child's safety is always the top priority.
- A minimum of 1 year's UK experience working with vulnerable children and young people within a residential setting or similar.
- Must be able to provide 3 years' professional references.
- Must have an Enhanced Adult & Child DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process a new one with Prospero.
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach, even under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage emotionally charged situations and provide support in a crisis.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
