We are seeking a talented Business Development Manager to drive growth within our National Bulk Liquid product. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the liquid waste management sector.

With a strong commercial background and excellent communication skills, you will build relationships with existing and potential customers to collect and transport their waste liquid volumes using our national road tanker fleet.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the waste sector, including experience in industrial and commercial, hazardous, brokerage, or waste tanker sectors. You will also possess a proactive approach to sales, negotiation, and customer relationship building.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop new knowledge and skills in a specialized area while working closely with our General Manager tankers to drive a growth strategy aligned with the business's needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explore and manage new business opportunities to secure and grow the bulk liquids product
  • Proactively sell profitable new business in line with operating areas of strength, achieving and exceeding quarterly/annual new business targets
  • Develop and manage a detailed new business pipeline providing a clear business forecast of expected volumes and over-achieving on targeted new business sales revenues
  • Maintain accurate data within our CRM platform to enable effective marketing campaigns
Requirements:
  • Experience in developing, managing, and implementing new business services
  • General knowledge of the waste sector, including industrial and commercial, hazardous, brokerage, or waste tanker sectors
  • Strong presentation, selling, negotiating, and influential skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess issues quickly and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work in partnership with internal departments, customers, and other organizations
  • Robust and resilient, with the ability to absorb pressure and respond positively
