About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems across a range of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design across multiple projects, managing timelines and ensuring delivery within budget
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to develop detailed electrical system designs
  • Utilise design software including Amtech and Dialux to create efficient and compliant designs
  • Oversee and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and are compliant with health and safety guidelines
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate multidisciplinary design processes
About You

We are looking for a proven track record as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally with residential, school, and commercial project experience. Proficiency in Amtech and Dialux software is essential. Strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and relevant electrical engineering qualifications and professional certifications are also required.
