Business Development Manager

At SF Recruitment (Nottingham), we are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to drive business growth and development in the Audio Visual or construction industry.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry and be able to build long-term relationships with clients. They will be responsible for managing sales opportunities, identifying potential prospects, and conducting qualification calls to convert them into new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in business development or sales, with a strong track record of success in a high-value B2B sales role. They will be self-motivated, have good time management skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing sales opportunities and individual pipeline from initial qualification through to close
• Monitoring website visitors, identifying potential prospects, and connecting to generate opportunities
• Arranging and conducting qualification calls with sales enquiries to qualify opportunities and convert them to the next step
• Meeting with clients face-to-face or online to build relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Ensuring all contact and deal information, communications, actions, and forecasts are recorded and kept up to date in the CRM system
• Building long-term trusting relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for improvement in product or delivery
• Dealing with current customers, up-selling, and maximizing sales opportunities
• Taking responsibility for all enquiries through to completion
• Promoting communications and new services to clients
• Working with the team on prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities
Key skills and experience required include:
• Experience of working within a business development or sales role
• Understanding of the Audio Visual or construction industry
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Negotiation skills
• Attention to detail
• Self-motivated and good time management skills
• Experience in a high-value B2B sales role
• Experience of consultative selling
Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM, with hybrid working arrangements. Salary will be £45,000 to £50,000 per annum. If you are interested in this role and have the relevant experience, please apply online now.
