We are looking for a Mechanical Teardown Engineer to join our team at Apex Recruitment - Leamington Spa in Daventry. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in disassembling vehicles, with a strong focus on mechanical components.

About the Job:

As a Mechanical Teardown Engineer, you will be responsible for stripping down vehicles, focusing on precise and accurate handling of mechanical components. Your extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems, will enable you to work efficiently and effectively with a team.

  • Safely strip down vehicles, removing intricate components, wiring, and assemblies.

You will also be responsible for safely draining engine oil, fuel, and other fluids as part of the disassembly process, adhering to environmental and safety guidelines. Furthermore, you will document and log data such as VIN numbers of disassembled parts and components.

Requirements:

  • Technical Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally in a main dealership or similar environment.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
  • Parts Knowledge: Familiarity with all car parts and components, with the ability to identify, handle, and remove each part safely and accurately.
