Our Indirect Tax Team

Our Indirect Tax team is a key part of BDO UK's Tax practice. We provide a range of services to clients, including VAT advice, compliance, and planning. Our team is made up of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior VAT Manager to join our Indirect Tax team. As a Senior VAT Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing VAT advice and services to them. You will also be responsible for developing business and seeking opportunities to grow our client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and provide VAT advice and services to them
  • Develop business and seek opportunities to grow our client base
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Provide VAT advice and guidance to clients on a range of issues, including VAT compliance and planning
  • Collaborate with other members of the Indirect Tax team to deliver high-quality services to clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Significant understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT
  • In-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus in the area of VAT
  • Ability to manage a large and varied portfolio
  • Ability and desire to actively seek opportunities for further work
  • Experience of dealing directly with HMRC
  • Experience of dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders
  • Educated to degree level
  • CTA qualified or equivalent an advantage
