About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our Project & Programme Services team. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality expertise that positively impacts society, the economy, and the environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide support to experienced colleagues within the team, including proof-reading documents to ensure they are complete and accurate.
  • Complete general administrative duties, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Develop your knowledge and experience of quantity surveying, including applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management.
  • Develop your understanding of the organisation's policies and arrangements for managing your own personal safety while at work.
  • Develop and adapt your communication skills, particularly with customers, to reflect the organisation's values.
  • Consciously monitor how you interact with others, in accordance with the organisation's values.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of five GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grades A - C and a commitment to undertaking a Higher National Diploma followed by a degree course or sufficient qualifications to gain immediate entry onto a degree course.
  • A clean driving licence.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction forms and techniques.
  • Sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to write coherent and grammatical English.
  • Clear understanding of the importance of accuracy and demonstrate this in all your work.
