About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Director to join our team at Hays Senior Finance. As a key member of our tax compliance and advisory team, you will be responsible for undertaking complex compliance work, reviewing junior team members' work, and working on various advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an integral part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team, supporting and advising a range of clients, including fast-growing and entrepreneurial companies, larger corporates, and international clients.
- Take ownership of a client portfolio, leading the delivery of a premium corporation tax compliance service and being the primary point of contact for clients.
- Provide value-added, technically accurate, clear, and concise tax advice on a range of technical issues relevant to clients' business risks, challenges, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain an external network of peers and stay up-to-date with the breadth of the firm's capability and general business and economic factors relevant to our clients.
- Work closely with partners and directors in tax and other service lines to support business development activities in the region.
- Liaise regularly with colleagues in other departments to assist in providing a high-quality service to clients and identifying tax-related risks and opportunities.
- Embrace a mindset of continual improvement in skills, knowledge, and capability for the benefit of our clients and provide coaching and guidance to junior team members.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with solid corporate tax advisory experience, effective team leadership, and business development skills. You should be ACA qualified (or equivalent) and have a proven track record in client handling and managing a busy portfolio. Experience in business development and converting relationships into fee-paying work is also essential.
