Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to work in multiple nurseries across the Reading area. This role offers flexible working hours, weekly pay, and the opportunity to gain experience in various settings.

About the Position:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to children aged 6 weeks to 4 years, assisting with their development through creative play and structured activities. You will be responsible for ensuring their safety, nurturing, and support at all times.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting, with strong communication skills to engage with families. NVQ Level 3 in Early Years is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging activities promoting learning and development
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Record children's progress and help them reach developmental milestones

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Early Years preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication skills to engage with children and families

Pay Rates:

  • £12 per hour (unqualified) PAYE | £14.81 per hour Umbrella
  • £13.10 per hour (qualified with NVQ Level 3) PAYE | £16.25 per hour Umbrella
