LHH is a leading consulting firm collaborating with renowned Top 100 accountancy firms. We are currently partnering with a prestigious accounting firm in Bolton to find an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join their expanding team.

About the Job

This exceptional opportunity is designed for senior auditors eager to advance in their career or assistant managers seeking broader professional experience. As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will lead and manage audits from planning through to completion, including supervision of the audit team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Audits: Plan and execute audits, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and determine audit strategies for each engagement.
  • Financial Statement Review: Analyze financial statements and identify key areas of risk and opportunities for improvements.
  • Junior Staff Development: Assist with the management and development of junior staff members.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Review work papers and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and assist clients with the implementation of internal controls.
  • Progress Updates: Liaise with the audit manager and senior management on progress and issues during audits.
  • Report Preparation: Participate in the preparation of audit reports and financial statements.
  • Advice and Support: Provide expert advice on accounting, auditing, and financial matters to clients.
About You

We seek a highly qualified and experienced candidate with:

  • Professional Qualification: Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or in progress is highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of audit experience in practice.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
