Job Title: Materials Team Leader

McCormick is seeking a highly skilled Materials Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to all facets of our raw materials, including purchasing, planning, product life cycle management, disposals, risk management, and master data governance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the materials planning team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and implement improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability in the materials planning processes.
  • Oversee the development and coaching of departmental team members, setting individual goals and ensuring alignment to functional objectives.
  • Represent Materials planning on local, regional, and global projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with NPD, procurement, and supply functions to ensure seamless planning and execution.
  • Identify and mitigate capacity or supply gaps, developing inventory strategies to meet business needs.
  • Manage material availability challenges, leading communication with business contacts and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with procurement on business continuity plans for key strategic suppliers or capacity-constrained suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work internationally, across multiple business units.
  • Experience with SAP and associated business systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to develop recommendations and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • FMCG experience, with knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
