Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist

The NHS is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join its Stroke Therapy team at Airedale General Hospital. This is a fixed-term position, covering maternity leave, for 5 hours a day.

Main Responsibilities
  • As a key member of the acute stroke team, you will work collaboratively with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy and rehabilitation to inpatients who have experienced acute stroke and various neurological conditions.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions between the acute setting and community.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent pre-registration award
  • State registration with the Health Care Professions Council
  • Recent postgraduate courses in Stroke/Neurological rehabilitation
  • Completion of Professional Practice education course
  • MSc modules in relevant areas of practice
  • Leadership courses and ECDL qualifications
  • Experience working at Band 5 level, with recent experience in stroke/neurology
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and coping with stressful environments

We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
