Job Description

As a Financial Crime Analytics & Systems Specialist at NatWest, you will play a crucial role in preventing and detecting financial crime. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and maintain systems and data to prevent, detect, and disrupt crime.

You will work closely with various teams to ensure that our systems and data are compliant with policies, regulations, and laws. Your expertise will be essential in formulating and deploying prevention and detection strategies in response to specific threats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Formulating and deploying prevention and detection strategies in response to specific threats
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of applicable downstream operational processes
  • Supporting business as usual enhancements and major upgrades through business analysis and user acceptance testing
  • Liaising with system vendors and coordinating work to drive enhancements and resolve issues

Requirements:

  • Understanding of UK retail and small businesses, and UK financial crime legislation
  • Understanding of the financial crime threats facing a retail bank
  • Very strong quantitative skills with knowledge and experience in relevant analytical approaches
  • Very strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Good understanding of Agile values, principles, and methodologies
  • Experience of using data and technology to test approaches and deliver scalable products
