CMM Programmer and Inspector Job Description

We are looking for a skilled CMM Programmer and Inspector to join our team at Austin Fraser, a pioneering organisation in contract inspection and computer-aided measurement (CMM) programming, serving both UK and global clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating CMM programs to inspect customer parts on dedicated equipment, as well as programming other inspection tools as required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating CMM programs to inspect customer parts on dedicated equipment.
  • Programming other inspection tools as required.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical principles.
  • Interpreting and manipulating customer CAD models.
  • Developing measurement programs and inspection strategies.

This role requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in utilising company IT systems and software, as well as the ability to provide technical support to customers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation of CMM programs to inspect customer parts on dedicated equipment.
  • Programming of other inspection tools as required.
  • Maintenance of a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical principles.
  • Interpretation and manipulation of customer CAD models.
  • Development of measurement programs and inspection strategies.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Additionally, employees are entitled to:

  • 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • An extra day of leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 years, resulting in 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
