Technical Expertise

As an Actuarial Reserving Specialist at Fairbank Partners, you will lead the review of claims data, develop methodologies and assumptions, and manage the production of quarterly reserving documentation and reports. Your technical expertise will drive accurate reserving results and support strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will work closely with underwriting, reinsurance, finance, and claims teams to drive accurate reserving results and support strategic decision-making. Your ability to collaborate effectively will be key to the success of the Reserving Transformation Project.

Reserving Transformation Project

You will play a key role in transforming the reserving process by developing and enhancing actuarial analytics, improving efficiency through automation, and streamlining processes using advanced technologies. Your expertise will be essential in driving innovation and improvement in the reserving process.

Regulatory Reporting

You will assist in the production of management returns, manage the creation of Technical Provisions for the annual Actuarial Function Report, and liaise with external SAO actuaries and auditors. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

A qualified actuary with experience in General Insurance reserving, preferably within personal lines, with strong coding skills (Excel VBA, SQL, Python, R), excellent analytical abilities, and effective communication skills.
